    FMDAC Travel Program

We are excited to announce the addition of a new fundraising program for FMDAC. FMDAC now has its own travel website! This is a full featured travel website private labeled with the FMDAC name and logo. Go check it out! You can find it at: www.fmdactravel.org. How it works: Every time travel is arranged through an online travel website, travel companies pay commissions for your reservation. When travel is booked on our new website, FMDAC will receive 60% of these commissions paid as royalties! This is an exciting program that we have made available to our supporters. They can visit the website, book their personal travel and FMDAC will receive our share of the commissions. But, we also need to take advantage of the program internally to maximize the funding from this program.

    Website Features
If you are familiar with booking travel online, you shouldn’t have any trouble navigating the new website. The site functions in a similar manner to other travel websites such as Expedia® and Orbitz®. Some of the key features you will find on the website include:

    • Air, hotel, car rental search and booking features
    • Vacation packages
    • Cruise packages
    • Ordering flowers online
    • Ordering event and sport tickets

    Personal Travel
Just like our supporters, the website is available to you and your family to book your personal travel. Please help us increase our funding. Use our new website whenever you travel! If you have any questions about this new travel program.

FMDAC Wal-Mart Program for Metal Detecting Clubs

The FMDAC Wal-Mart Program is a way for local metal detecting clubs to gain display space in a high foot traffic area. The program is designed for metal detecting clubs to setup a display at Wal-Mart, tell about their club, educate the public about metal detecting and inform the community about their club.

You can down load the introduction letters and handouts by clicking on the following links.

Wal-Mart Program Package in Adobe .pdf format

Wal-Mart Program Package in MS Word .doc format

The package has a number of handouts available:

    1)       Wal-Mart Poster

    2)       Metal Detecting Code of Ethics Handout

    3)       Target Recovery Handout

    4)       FMDAC Informational Two Sided Brochure

The display should be large enough to have a number of detectors on display as well as several displays of club finds (mini-show and tell). Also you will want a few club members on hand to pass out literature and answer questions. Permission must be gained from your local Wal-Mart store before you schedule your event. The intro letters are designed to help you with that effort.

If you have question about this program you can contact:

Some members keep their organization strong.

While others join just to belong.

Some volunteer and do their share While others lie back and just don’t care.

On meeting days, some always show While there are those who never go.

Some always pay their dues ahead. Some get behind for months instead.

Some do their best; some build, some make, Some never do, just sit and take.

Some lag behind, some let things go And never help their group to grow.

Some drag, some pull, Some don’t, and some do.
